My sister and I had dinner at Los Chatino's tonight and it was the perfect choice for us! The chardonnay pour was generous, and the lime margarita was delicious with a hint of fresh orange. The staff accommodated a special dietary request for us which allowed my sister to enjoy flour based chips with the great guacamole. In addition, the grilled chicken chimichanga was delicious. All in all, the service and food were great; I would highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Mexican food. EDIT: We ate here again tonight (2 days later). The staff still accomodating, our meals were exceptional, and the margaritas were scrumptious. A hidden gem of deliciousness!
Since a local AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant on Ulmertin closed, the new owners/name is a no go now. For several years I have been searching for a a new go-to place along with everyone else I know who loved it. THIS is now my new place! I judge by my fave go-to, a relleno which HAD THE BATTER ON IT to soak up that delicious red sauce. So good! So authentic! Service, atmosphere, FOOD, all of it. I've already texted 3 people to make plans to show them (they miss the old place too) just to have a good reason to go again. Now that I know where to go for my beloved relleno, I'm taking my sister when she visits this Wednesday to try her favorite, a taco salad. My friend loved her camarones. Big shrimp with light breading. Y'all. I swear I've talked myself into lunch there on errands today. No joke. Go! We're excited to have a new place.
If I lived in Dunedin I’d eat here daily. The trompo (al pastor) tacos are delicious, the menudo so good! Homemade flan! Their margaritas are give your keys to someone good. Family (generational) owned. Ask about their Chatino culture. Or look it up and then ask questions they are very welcoming.
What a find! Los Chatinos is hands down the best Mexican food I've had in Florida. I ordered a combo dinner: 2 tacos, chili relleno, enchilada. It was fantastic! Also ordered some sides. BEST Wacamole I have ever had! Salsa was amazing and the Queso dip was oooey gooey yummy. Please check this place out! I will definitely visit in person soon!
The food here is so good, so authentic. When you go, get the mole enchiladas. You will not regret it. Also when they tell you the red hot sauce is hot...they are not playing with you, it is hot and delicious. Every member of staff is so welcoming, so friendly. Go check them out.
Excellent food, super friendly and fast service! The food was great quality and felt clean and authentic, not Americanized and greasy. The lunch specials were fantastic prices and the horchata was one of the best I ever had.
Delicious food and exceptionally friendly service! We love their salsa too! We had the seafood chimichangas and chicken chimichangas and both were amazing. The nachos supremos is also great. This is a great addition to our area.
Wow! We made a great discovery when we just happened to stop in at Los Chatinos on Missouri Avenue! Our delicious meal of Fajitas Flameadas, dinner special of 2 Tacos, Enchilada, and Chalupa, Three Tacos with rice was very reasonably priced. The restaurant was bright and cheery. We arrived very early about 4:15 and was surprised to see three table already filled with diners. Service was very fast and by the time when we left at about 5:00, it was getting very busy with about 4 more tables filled. And this was a Tuesday night! So glad the have a great new restaurant in the neighborhood!
